Hugh Bonneville

Because Hugh was the main character of Married, he was recording for most of the time so I didn't get the chance to speak to him as much as I would have liked.

The main thing I talked to him about was the fact that he was in the middle of buying a house, which unfortunately all fell through as someone else in the chain had pulled out.

To cheer himself up, he was planning on taking a vacation to some sunnier clime. How the other half live.

Hugh made his feature film debut as Schiller in Mary Shelleys Frankenstein, directed by Kenneth Branagh. He was also in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and he played the role of Bernie in Notting Hill.

He's had a lot of TV roles, popping up in Holding The Baby, Mosley, The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous, Bugs, The Vet, Between The Lines, Peak Practice and Cadfael. He must be a poor man's Carol Vorderman.

He has also worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
